jessity: (stop that)

I have Windows 7 and sometimes, I can't click on my desktop icons. Problem seems to go away for a while after I reboot the computer, but I shouldn't have to be doing that all the time. I can access stuff from the start menu, but I can't click on the icons on the desktop.

Anybody know what is causing this?

I'm not sure how old/powerful a compter you have or what the graphics capability is (integrated graphics/graphics card), but you may want to try disabling Aero to see if that helps.

Right-click on the desktop, choose personalize, then scroll down through the themes until you come to the basic themes at the bottom. Try one of those for a bit and see if it helps.

Ok, I looked. It has a NVidia GeForce 9100 (googling says it's pretty low end?) but .. it just started doing it recently and I can't figure anything that I've changed, really. The Aero theme things have always worked fine and up until the last week or so, no problems with the desktop. I did change to one of the basic themes at the bottom though, will have to wait till tomorrowish to see if it does it again.
